There’s something special about watching a project come together step by step, especially when it’s a space you’ve been dreaming about for years.
That’s exactly what happened in our recent collaboration with home renovation and DIY creator Aislinn Higgins from DreamDIY.ie, as she transformed the outdoor area of her beautiful 1876 Victorian home into the patio she’d always envisioned.
Over a series of videos and updates shared with her 53.5k followers, Aislinn brought everyone along for the journey. From early planning and design decisions to installation and the final finishing touches, she documented every stage of her Country Estate/Bridgerton themed patio, giving her audience a real insight into what it takes to create a stunning outdoor space.
Designing a Patio That Complements a Period Home
When renovating and improving a Victorian property, striking the right balance between traditional character and modern living is key. Aislinn wanted a space that felt as though it had been there forever while also providing a practical space for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying family life outdoors.
