At Kilsaran we are constantly driving our commitment to sustainability and the environment by continually improving our processes and practices as a manufacturer of concrete building materials. A major project at the heart of this is the upgrading of our Millennium Concrete production facility in North Dublin where a state-of-the-art concrete recycling facility has been installed.
This new recycling plant reduces material going to waste facilities, whilst at the same time reducing virgin material extraction. Additional plant modifications have also reduced power consumption facilitating a 50% reduction in energy needs per unit of concrete produced. We have also increased our capacity to harvest and use rainwater in production as well as stopping tens of thousands of tonnes of CO2 making its way into the atmosphere by using cement replacements.
