Kilsaran attain NSAI Agrement Accreditation

NSAI Agrement Cert

Kilsaran has become the first rendering mortar manufacturer in the Republic of Ireland to successfully attain NSAI Agremént Certification for hybrid rendering systems using both mineral and organic based rendering mortars. Kilsaran’s DuraRend Classic System and GP Render were the products of choice for the recently completed extension to Nazareth House Nursing Home in Dublin 3.

As an industry leader Kilsaran strive to supply the latest material technology backed by certification and accreditation to the most current and applicable product standards. Kilsaran International are the only Republic of Ireland based rendering mortar manufacturer to hold third party factory production control certification to I.S. EN 998-1 and NSAI Agremént certification for hybrid rendering systems consisting of mineral renders conforming to EN 998-1 and organic based renders complying with EN 15824.

Kilsaran recently supplied their NSAI Agremént certified DuraRend Classic System and GP Render to Kilcawley Construction for use on a new 90 bed Nursing Home. The area of the new building is 6500sq.m over 3 storeys. On completion of the new building approximately 3500sq.m of the existing Nursing Home was refurbished to meet current HIQA requirements. The overall project value was €14 million. Specification requirements called for a durable, low maintenance self-cleaning façade that could be coloured matched to a variety of colour shades in the existing building.

Kilsaran supplied their NSAI Agremént certified DuraRend Classic system comprising of, Kilsaran DuraRend – CE marked, EN 998-1 FPC certified, NSAI  Agremént certified mineral render. Kilsaran/Ceresit CT 16 priming coat  and Kilsaran/Ceresit CT 79 Impactum elastomeric plaster – CE marked to EN 15824.

Kilsaran/Ceresits CT 79 ultra hydrophobicity provides a self-cleaning effect that allows for the washing of dirt off its surface by atmospheric precipitation. Drops of rain do not penetrate the render surface but run down off it taking the dirt particles with them.

Kilsaran’s colour match service also ensured direct colour shade matches to the existing building using the latest in optical spectrometry techniques.
